In the fields around where I live grow wheat and barley, I have on many occasions stood among these great fields when the crop is nearly ready for harvesting. The sound and texture as you run your hands through the stalks and grain is magical. I am challenged to represent this visually….It seems obvious that one might film the fields in the first instance, but, in the first instance I have tried to conjure up the emotion of wheat fields in still images. These three images best represent to me the ethereal qualities of the fields.
